Hérault gorges and Montpellier scrubland
“Always winding” this walk which crosses such different landscapes. The start is quiet and runs along the backdrop of Mediterranean forests and scrubland. Without warning, the road leads to the Grand Site de France Saint-Guilhem-le Désert / Gorges de l’Hérault ®. Under the Mediterranean sun, the road, refreshing, flirts with the Hérault river for about ten km before attacking the tumbling laces of the pretty Buège valley. Change of scenery when you arrive in Ganges at the foothills of the Cévennes National Park where you will take the path of the gentlemen glassmakers: a beautiful zigzag story that will take you back, between vineyards and scrubland, to Montpellier...
